• Description:
  In the new reality, after Poland regained its independence, the authorities of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family under took some steps in order to establish a monastery in Wieluń. It happener after the approval expressed by bishop Stanisław Zdzitowiecki in 1920. In the following year, the monastery of the former Post-Augustinian Conventin Wieluń was taken over by the above-mentioned Congregation. Soon, the pastoral work developed and the rep air work of the mediewal convent started. Missionaries placed particular emphasis on Catechesis, preaching missions and services. A novitiate was established simultaneously to a missionary school – an eight-year secondary school for men, which was attended by students from the en tire territoryof the district of Wieluń. However, the outbreak of the Second World War disrupted an intensive development of the activity of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family and the convent suffered material damage then. In 1946, the convent was handel over to the Diocese of Częstochowa.;
  W nowej rzeczywistości po odzyskaniu przez Polskę niepodległości zostały podjęte przez władze Zgromadzenia Misjonarzy Świętej Rodziny działania mające na celu utworzenie domu zakonnego w Wieluniu. Nastąpiło to po aprobacie bpa Stanisława Zdzitowieckiego w 1920 r. W kolejnym roku doszło do przejęcia przez zakon dawnego klasztoru poaugustiańskiego w Wieluniu. Wkrótce nastąpił rozwój duszpasterstwa i rozpoczęły się prace remontowe średniowiecznego klasztoru. Szczególny nacisk misjonarze położyli na katechizację, głoszenie misji i odprawianie nabożeństw. Równolegle doszło do powołania nowicjatu zakonnego i szkoły misyjnej – ośmioletniego gimnazjum męskiego, do którego uczęszczali uczniowie pochodzący z całego powiatu wieluńskiego. Intensywny rozwój działalności został zahamowany przez wybuch II wojny światowej, w czasie której klasztor doznał ogromnych strat materialnych. W 1946 r. doszło do jego przekazania na rzecz diecezji częstochowskiej.
