  Artykuł opisuje zjawisko patriotyzmu konsumenckiego i stanowi próbę połączenia go z konstruktami „starego”, tradycyjnego oraz „nowego” patriotyzmu. Pokazuje, że patriotyzm konsumencki może być analizowany z obydwu tych perspektyw. Opisuje również, jak lokalni przedsiębiorcy wykorzystują patriotyczne nastawienie konsumentów w swoich kampaniach marketingowych.
