Those and other questions are asked not just by librarians but by readers as well. The paper is meant to contribute to a broader discussion on the topie. It aims to show the university library as a centre where knowledge and innovation are generated and disseminated.;
  Autor przedstawia nowo wprowadzane przepisy prawne dotyczące oceny punktowej publikacji recenzowanych i monografii naukowych. W ramach publikacji recenzowanych omawia zasady punktacji dla listy A i B Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego, listy ERIH (European Rerence lndex for the Humanities) oraz redaktora ocenianego czasopisma. Natomiast w przypadku monografii naukowych przedstawia zasady punktacji w języku angielskim lub innym podstawowym dla danej dyscypliny, w innych językach oraz dla monografii wieloautorskich.
