  The text entitled on the need to shape cognitive and existential autonomy in lessons and not only in Polish language lessons deals with the role of autonomy in education. It presents the meaning of the concept of autonomy in European education and in Polish education. It presents the conditions that a democratic state should fulfill in order for cognitive autonomy to be implemented at school, which is associated with a sense of the subject’s independent action and leaving room for free decision, ensuring the possibility of continuous, harmonious and comprehensive development. This development takes place in the conditions of normalization of life in various communities, such as family, school, church, associations, etc. It therefore has two spheres: institutional and individual. We see the institutional sense of autonomy in the school’s operation as an institution and in interpersonal relations, it also concerns the scope of independence and freedom of action of the individual and the community granted to them by the rulers. An import ant part of the text is the presentation of the possibilities of teacher and student activities in a democratic system, allowing freedom in choosing an educational and cognitive program for the “student’s measure”. The text also discusses the obstacles that arise on the way to autonomy, both administratively and individual behavior of students and teachers.;
  Tekst zatytułowany O potrzebie kształtowania autonomii poznawczej i egzystencjalnej na lekcjach nie tylko języka polskiego podejmuje zagadnienie roli autonomii w edukacji. Prezentuje znaczenie pojęcia autonomia w edukacji europejskiej i w edukacji polskiej. Przedstawia warunki, jakie powinno spełnić państwo demokratyczne, by można realizować w szkole autonomię poznawczą, która wiąże się z poczuciem niezależnego działania podmiotu oraz pozostawienia miejsca dla wolnej decyzji, zapewnienia możliwości ciągłego, harmonijnego i wszechstronnego rozwoju. Rozwój ten odbywa się w warunkach normowania życia przez różne wspólnoty, jak rodzina, szkoła, Kościół, stowarzyszenia itd. Ma zatem dwie sfery: instytucjonalną i indywidualną. Instytucjonalny sens autonomii dostrzegamy w działaniu szkoły jako instytucji i w relacjach interpersonalnych, dotyczy też zakresu niezależności i swobody działania jednostki i wspólnoty, przyznanego im przez rządzących. Ważną częścią tekstu jest prezentacja możliwości działań nauczyciela i ucznia w systemie demokratycznym, pozwalającym na swobodę w wyborze programu wychowawczego i poznawczego na „miarę ucznia”. Tekst omawia również przeszkody, jakie pojawiają się w drodze do uzyskania autonomii, zarówno uwarunkowane administracyjnie, jak i indywidualnymi zachowaniami uczniów i nauczycieli.
