  Władysław Syrokomla (Ludwik Kondratwicz), living in the years 1823–1862, is a representative of Polish national inter-uprising Romanticism. At first, he lived and worked in Minsk, then in the Vilnius region. Among his numerous works, apart from tales, dramas and poems, there were also travel journals. The nineteenth-century travel journal was a literary genre combining the author's intimate confessions with a touring and historical work. Personal elements were usually included in the introduction or the end of the book. The article discusses two versions of the introduction to the journey diary of Wandering around my once surroundings: printed (1853) and manuscript (1852?). Author of the article analyzes both texts in terms of the time of creation, similarities and differences, intensity of emotions. The article was supplemented with an Annex: transliteration of the manuscript from the Lithuanian Archive of Literature and Art in Vilnius.;
  Władysław Syrokomla (Ludwik Kondratowicz) to przedstawiciel polskiego romantyzmu krajowego doby międzypowstaniowej. Mieszkał i tworzył początkowo na Mińszczyźnie, następnie na Wileńszczyźnie. Wśród jego bogatej twórczości, obok gawęd, dramatów, wierszy, znalazły się również dzienniki podróży. Dziewiętnastowieczny dziennik podróży był gatunkiem literackim łączącym w sobie intymne zwierzenia autora z dziełem krajoznawczo-historycznym. Elementy osobiste zawarte były zazwyczaj we wstępie bądź zakończeniu. Artykuł omawia dwie wersje wstępu do dziennika podróży Wędrówki po moich niegdyś okolicach: drukowaną (1853) i rękopiśmienną (1852?). Autorka artykułu analizuje oba teksty pod względem czasu powstania, podobieństw i różnic, natężenia emocjonalności wypowiedzi. Artykuł został uzupełniony dodatkiem zawierającym transliterację manuskryptu pochodzącego w Litewskiego Archiwum Literatury i Sztuki w Wilnie.
