  The aim of the article is to estimate the level of GDP and total factor productivity (TFP) for poviats of the wielkopolskie voivodeship in the years 2008–2018 and to analyse their differentiation in this respect. Based on changes in TFP, it is possible to evaluate changes in the efficiency of the production process caused by technological progress. This efficiency is one of the factors conditioning economic growth that affects the standard and living conditions. Data on GDP by poviats are not available in official statistics. Thus, the first specific goal of the research was to estimate them. The second specific goal was to investigate whether there are spatial relationships in the distribution of this variable. Based on the values of global and local Moran statistics, Poznań (being the city with poviat status) was identified as the so-called hot-spot, i.e. a region with a high GDP value, positively influencing the neighbouring region. TFP is an immeasurable variable; estimating its value in poviats is the third specific objective. TFP was assumed to be a function of time and technological progress. Its values were estimated on the basis of the Cobb-Douglas function, taking into account regional differentiation of productivity. The parameters of the productivity function were estimated on the basis of the panel data spatial model. The results indicate, that the highest TFP values are characteristic of urban poviats. A hotspot was identified in Poznań (being the city with poviat status). Two other cities with poviat status: Leszno and Konin, although they themselves are characterized by high productivity, do not act as growth centers. Spatial dependencies on a global scale (of the entire voivodeship) are practically non-existent, but there are noticeable differences between poviats depending on their dominant economic profile.;
  W prezentowanych badaniach oszacowano poziom PKB i łączną produktywność czynników produkcji (TFP) dla powiatów województwa wielkopolskiego w latach 2008–2018 oraz dokonano analizy ich zróżnicowania pod tym względem. W szczególności zbadano występowanie zależności przestrzennych w rozkładach obu zmiennych. Na podstawie wartości globalnych i lokalnych statystyk Morana wskazano powiat miasto Poznań jako tzw. hot-spot, a więc region o wysokich wartościach PKB oraz TFP, pozytywnie oddziałujący na region sąsiedni. Zależności przestrzenne w skali globalnej (całego województwa) praktycznie nie występują, natomiast zauważalne są różnice w zależności od dominującego profilu gospodarczego powiatu.
