  Increasingly complex urban structures force changes and permanent development of passenger transport. This transport ensures connection between particular urban elements both within the city and with the suburban area of the largest Polish cities. The purpose of this paper was to describe a system of passenger transport within the administrative borders of Wrocław and its suburban area, with particular attention given to the spatial aspect. The author will be analysing directions and intensity of connections, the operators’ market and connections between the transport system and other elements of the urban structure. In the article the author will be referring to the most recently completed and planned investment projects in the passenger transport infrastructure.;
  Coraz bardziej złożone struktury miejskie wymuszają zmiany oraz permanentny rozwój transportu pasażerskiego. Transport ten zapewnia skomunikowanie poszczególnych jednostek urbanistycznych zarówno w ujęciu wewnątrzmiejskim, jak również ze strefą podmiejską największych polskich miast. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie, w jaki sposób kształtuje się system transportu pasażerskiego w obrębie granic administracyjnych Wrocławia i jego strefy podmiejskiej. Analizie podlegają kierunki oraz natężenie połączeń, rynek przewoźników oraz powiązania systemu transportowego z innymi elementami struktury miejskiej. W nawiązaniu do projektu przedstawiona została sytuacja dotycząca najnowszych zrealizowanych i planowanych projektów inwestycyjnych dotyczących infrastruktury transportu pasażerskiego.
