  The existing family crisis is largely connected with questioning the role that husband and father should play in the family. The ideal of masculinity does not function today, at the center of which would be the belief that the man would fulfill his fatherhood. Referring to the social consequences of the father's identity crisis, contemporary society is sometimes referred to as „a non-paternal society”, a society without a father. This is pointed out in the exhortation Amoris laettia by Pope Francis, who believes that fathers are in a serious crisis. This study is about trying to outline the paternity crisis and show ways to overcome this worrying state of affairs. To this end, the issue of the father's mission should be discussed in the context of the integral vision of marriage and the family. Then you need to pay attention to the manifestations of the paternity crisis and the reasons for the incorrect development of the father's pattern in the family. In the end, it is about pointing out the postulates to overcome the paternity crisis and the need to prepare for fulfilling the function of father in the family.;
  Istniejący kryzys rodziny łączy się w znacznej mierze z zakwestionowaniem roli, jaką powinien w rodzinie odgrywać mąż i ojciec. Nie funkcjonuje dziś ideał męskości, w którego centrum byłoby przekonanie o spełnieniu się mężczyzny w ojcostwie. Odnosząc się do społecznych konsekwencji kryzysu tożsamości ojca, określa się niekiedy współczesne społeczeństwo jako „społeczeństwo bezojcowskie”, społeczeństwo pozbawione ojca. Zwraca na to uwagę w adhortacji Amoris laetitia papież Franciszek, który uważa, że ojcowie znaleźli się w poważnym kryzysie. W niniejszym opracowaniu chodzi o próbę zarysowania kryzysu ojcostwa i wskazania sposobów przezwyciężenia tego niepokojącego stanu rzeczy. W tym celu należy omówić zagadnienie posłannictwa ojca w kontekście integralnej wizji małżeństwa i rodziny. Następnie trzeba zwrócić uwagę na przejawy kryzysu ojcostwa i na przyczyny nieprawidłowego rozwoju wzoru ojca w rodzinie. W końcu chodzi o wskazanie postulatów służących przezwyciężeniu kryzysu ojcostwa oraz konieczności przygotowania do spełnienia funkcji ojca w rodzinie.
