  The current article is devoted to study of representations of Polish highereducation in major newspapers and weekly magazines in 2008-2012. The authorconcentrates on the analysis of main elements of (hegemonic) discourse, mainly intexts published in „Gazeta Wyborcza”, „Rzeczpospolita”, „Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”and „Polityka”. The debate on higher education turned to be highly ideological andin the end provided support to the implementation of neoliberal reforms in academia.;
  W artykule niniejszym przedstawiam obraz szkolnictwa wyższego prezentowany w polskiej prasie wysokonakładowej w latach 2008-1012. Na podstawie analizy tekstów publikowanych w wybranych dziennikach („Gazeta Wyborcza”, „Rzeczpospolita”, „Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”) i tygodnikach („Polityka”) dokonuję rekonstrukcji głównych składowychdyskursu, który określić można mianem hegemonicznego. Stawiam tezę, że debata o szkolnictwie wyższym w polskiej prasie miała charakter ideologiczny i stanowiła wsparcie dla systemu wprowadzanych w świecie nauki neoliberalnych reform.
