  In this paper I have made an attempt at comprehending the dictionary processing of dialectal data with prevailing ethnographic components. I also present a short digression about the history of dialectal dictionaries. This type of dictionaries has a long history in Russian lexicography, dating back to the 19th century. The analysis is based on regional dialect dictionaries where the ethnographic component and the “Dictionary of Russian Folk Dialects” are very well represented. To date, 50 volumes of the dictionary have been published, allowing for some conclusions.;
  В данной работе предлагается попытка некоторого осмысления словарной обработки диалектных данных, в которых этнографический компонент имеет явную доминанту. Представлен краткий экскурс в историю создания диалектных сводных словарей. Этот тип словарей в русской лексикографии имеет длительную историю, уходящую в XIX век. Анализ материалов базируется на рассмотрении региональных диалектных словарей, в которых весьма глубоко представлен этнографический компонент и «Словаря русских народных говоров». К настоящему времени вышло в свет 50 томов этого словаря, что позволяет делать некоторые выводы.
