  The major issues and problems of implementation of the decentralization policies in Public Administration of The Slovak Republic are discussed in the article. Administrative rules and procedures and the overall management and oversight of public administration are also under review, with a particular focus on the legislative actions.;
  This paper was prepared within the project VEGA-1-0557/17 – “Právne aspekty optimalizácie verejnej správy obcami ako subjektmi verejnej správy” [Legal Aspects of Optimization of Public Administration Exercised by Municipalities as Subjects of Public Administration], subsidised by the Scientific grant agency of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of the Sciences.
