  The author in this text tries to present the phenomenon of social communication in realityTV focusing on the analysis of the British and Polish versions of the Gogglebox format.The directions of development of television entertainment are shown, centering aroundthe genre of reality TV. In addition, the paper contains studies showing the current increasein television viewing and the statements of the studied group of students on theconvention of entertainment programs. Using the example of the Gogglebox program, theauthor indicates the reasons for the absorption in the entertainment television and theperception of this type of programs. Addictionally, the impact of media convergence ontelevision audiences is illustrated.;
  Autorka w niniejszej pracy próbuje przedstawić zjawisko komunikacji społecznej w przekaziereality TV, a także skupia się na analizie brytyjskiej i polskiej wersji formatuGogglebox. Stara się pokazać kierunki rozwoju telewizyjnej rozrywki, skupiając się nagatunku reality TV. W pracy przytoczono wyniki badań jakościowych grupy studentów.Na przykładzie programu Gogglebox, autorka próbuje wskazać przyczyny zainteresowaniaodbiorców telewizją rozrywkową i postrzeganie uczestników tego typu programów.Dodatkowo obrazuje wpływ konwergencji mediów na oglądalność przekazu telewizyjnego.
