Ecumenical activity is a very important aspect of life in the Catholic Church. The main reception of this activity are works of special groups and commission between Catholic Church and another Christian communities and churches. The Anglican–Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC) is an group created in 1969 which seeks to make ecumenical progress between the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church. The Third Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission has issued its first agreed statement with the title Walking Together on the Way: Learning to be the Church – Local, Regional, Universal. The ecclesiological document showed relation between local Churches and universal Church, role of archbishop of Canterbury and bishop of Rome, condition of Anglican Communion in universal world. The author of the article looked at this new ecumenical document in the perspective of situation of ecumenical dialogue and teaching of the Second Vatican Council and pope emeritus Benedict XVI.;
Ekumenizm stanowi niezwykle ważną działalność Kościoła katolickiego. Główną realizacją tej aktywności są prace specjalnych grup i komisji pomiędzy Kościołem katolickim a innymi chrześcijańskimi wspólnotami i kościołami. Międzynarodowa Anglikańko-Rzymskokatolicka Komisja (ARCIC) jest grupą utworzoną w 1969 roku, kóra dąży do ekumenicznego postępu pomiedzy Kosciołem katolickim a Kościołem katolickim. Trzecia faza prac Międzynarodowej Anglikańko-Rzymskokatolickiej Komisji zaowocowała wspólnym dokumentem zatytułowanym Walking together on the Way: Learning to be a Church - Local, Regional, Universal. Ten eklezjologiczny dokument ukazał relacje pomiędzy Kościołami lokalnymi i powszechnym, rolę arcybiskupa Canterbury oraz biskupa Rzymu, a także kondycję wspólnoty anglikańskiej w całym świecie. Autor artykułu spojrzał na ten nowy dokument ekumeniczny z perspektywy sytuacji dialogu ekumenicznego i nauczania II Soboru Watykańskiego oraz papieża emeryta Benedykta XVI.
