Description:
Czasopismo naukowo-etnograficzne wydawane w oficynie księgarza, bibliografa Adolfa Ashera (1800-1853). Kwartalnik bogato ilustrowany, wydawany przez Stowarzyszenie Folkloru w Berlinie (ukazywał się od 1891 roku). Redaktorami periodyku byli m.in. Karl Weinhold, Johannes Bolte, Hermann Michel, Fritz Boehm. Teksty naukowe, przyczynki ze wszystkich dziedzin sztuki ludowej, zestawienia bibliograficzne za poszczególne lata (z różnych krajów świata). W tekście liczne ilustracje, zdjęcia (m.in. strojów ludowych, chat), mapy, tablice (w tym kolor.), nuty, pieśni etc. Tom IV/1933 r. poświęcony niemieckiemu historykowi literatury, etnografowi Johannesowi Bolte (1858-1937) - z okazji 75 urodzin. Tom 4 /1909 r. S. 421, pieśń patriotyczna "Tam na błoniu błyszczy kwiecie". Pieśń powstała w latach 1830–1831. Utwór zdobył szczególną popularność wśród żołnierzy powstania listopadowego. Pieśń śpiewano także na melodię ludową. W okresie I wojny światowej pieśń ta była wykonywana w Legionach Polskich na melodię lwowskiej ulicy). Na wewnętrznej stronie okładziny znak własnościowy "Ex libris Leonhard Neubaur". Biblioteka Elbląska w swoich zbiorach posiada roczniki: 1891-1892, 1905, 1907-1913, 1929-1940 (niekompletne).
