W jego pierwszej części przedstawiono kwestię pojęcia i znaczenia kościoła katedralnego. W drugiej części ukazano problematykę urządzenia i wyposażenia kościoła katedralnego, natomiast część trzecia została poświęcona zagadnieniu relacji biskupa diecezjalnego do jego kościała katedralnego. Całość artykułu kończy podsumowanie i bibliografia.
