Samuel Barclay Beckett (1906-1989) – irlandzki dramaturg, prozaik i eseista, tworzący o w języku angielskim i francuskim. Jeden z twórców teatru absurdu. Jego powieści są pozbawiane tradycyjnej narracji, utrzymane w klimacie skrajnego pesymizmu i podkreślające bezsens ludzkiej egzystencji. Teatr im. Stefana Jaracza Olsztyn-Elbląg wystawił 4.06.1971 r. na Scenie „Margines” dramat „Końcówka”. Przekład – Julian Rogoziński, reżyseria – Matylda Krygier, scenografia – Józef Zboromirski. Na zdjęciu afisz zapowiadający spektakl.
