Obiektem badań była nornica, Clethrionomys rutilus salairicus (Egorin, 1936), łowiona w okresach wiosenno-letnich - 1962-65 (n=6295 okazów) na podgórzu Grzbietu Salairskiego. Badano trzy ekologiczne populacje zasiedlające: 1 - tajgę, 2 - wtórne lasy mieszane i 3 - lasy wyspowe w krajobrazie zagospodarowanym. Warunki środowiskowe były zróżnicowane od najlepszych w tajdze do najgorszych w lasach.;
