  This article discusses the model of post-graduate training in countries belonging to the OECD (on the basis of reports prepared by OECD experts and statistical reports). The system and structure of post-graduate studies in Poland are presented against this backdrop together with an attempt to evaiuate their effectiveness. Statistical data and data from the literature are confronted with post-graduate students' opinions concerning their courses (on the basis of the preliminary results of a survey of second-year post-graduates).;
  W artykule omówiono model kształcenia doktorantów w krajach OECD (na podstawie opracowań ekspertów OECD oraz danych statystycznych). Na tym tle przedstawiono system i strukturę studiów doktoranckich w Polsce z elementami oceny ich skuteczności. W konfrontacji z danymi statystycznymi i literaturą zaprezentowano opinie doktorantów na temat studiów doktoranckich (na podstawie wstępnych wyników badań ankietowych doktorantów II roku studiów).
